"The CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme (formerly known as the Carbon Reduction Commitment) is the UK's mandatory climate change and energy saving scheme, due to start in April 2010. It is central to the UK's strategy for improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, as set out in the Climate Change Act 2008 DOE and Climate Change Website.
Initially this will involve 5000 organisations from April 2010 and eventually 20,000 will have to take part.
It looks like we're going to be busy then !
I read last night that if you make a presentation with a black background it will use less energy than a coloured or white background. Life is too short !
So 100 watt light bulbs have been outlawed.
They aren't very efficient at lighting but they are good background heaters. So when it's cool your heating has to compensate to maintain your comfort. Net result = not much energy saved ?
